Road Redesign Faunce Street West, Gosford
Civil design for local council to accommodate more traffic for new school

As the needs of this street has grown, both in residential traffic and primarily in a new school on the block, the street needed to be widened.

It remained as a two lane road, but was resurfaced and the centreline moved to allow room for parking. The parking ran almost the full length of the new school, as both parallel parking and 90° angle parking. There is also allowance for buses to pull over in this area.

The shifting of the alignment meant a significant cut and retaining of earth on the reserve side of street. A safety median was also constructed between the footpath and the lane in some sections.

The project was commissioned and overseen by Gosford City Council.
